Bernice Helen Rosenberg, 86, of Wilmington, Ohio died Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her husband, Lt. Col. Edward Gustav Rosenberg, preceded her in death August 14, 2009. They were married December 8, 1945. Mrs. Rosenberg was born September 17, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Bragiel Chiletz.
Mrs. Rosenberg had worked at Ferno Washington, White Advertising, and AAA Travel Agency. She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, the Wilmington Garden Club, and the Brush & Pen Club. She was an avid left-handed golfer and a member of Snow Hill Country Club. She was a talented artist and writer and loved traveling the world with her husband. Mrs. Rosenberg was trained in Ikebana Japanese flower arranging. She was a longtime supporter of the Wilmington College theater program, and she enjoyed helping the Wilmington Public Library with their book sales and fundraisers.
Mrs. Rosenberg is survived by a daughter, Deborah Ann Carter-Gordley of McDonald, Pennsylvania; a son, Karl (Susan Swies) Rosenberg of Barrington, Illinois; and a grandson, John Rosenberg. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Robert Chiletz, is preceded in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Michael J. Holloran officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
