Christine Lynn “Chrissy” Sharp, 39, of Marion, Ohio (formerly of Wilmington, Ohio) died May 10, 2011 at Harding Pointe Nursing Facility, Marion, Ohio. She was born August 21, 1971 in Kettering, Ohio, daughter of Carol Lee Green Gough of Wilmington, Ohio and Russell Sharp of Florida. She attended Wilmington City Schools, but graduated from Clinton Massie High School in 1989.
Prior to an automobile accident in 1999, Chrissy enjoyed mountain biking, rollerblading, growing flowers, making jewelry, and drawing. She also enjoyed horses, dogs, butterflies, and exotic pets. After the accident, Chrissy was in a coma for one year. At that time, doctors said she would not survive or would be in a coma for life. Her will to fight overcame though, and she came out of coma. However, she had to start again learning how to eat, speak, read, and write. Because of hard work she was able to do all of these things, and she never stopped trying to do more. Throughout it all, she had a caring heart and loved to spend time with her family. Her family will miss her smiles, hugs, and kisses.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Rich Sharp of Florida, Jonathan (Jessica) Gough of Kentucky, and Josh Gough of New York; a niece, Rachel Sharp of Florida; and a nephew, Ethan Gough of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennifer Gough and Danielle Gough.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Keith Dimbath officiating.
