DAVID ROBERSON

David Roberson of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Mr. Roberson was born August 21, 1968 in Wilmington, Ohio. After graduating in 1986, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving for 20 years. Following his retirement from service, he worked in Iraq from 2007 to 2009 when he became ill. He is survived by his two children, Sean Roberson of Mira Mesa, California and Gabby Roberson of Mira Mesa, California; his mother, Gayle Roberson of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother, Brian Roberson of Wilmington, Ohio; his stepfather, Eddie Moody of Wilmington, Ohio; two sisters, Laci Banks of Raleigh North Carolina and Sophia Shelby of Sacramento, California; loving aunts, Carmen Hayes of Sidney, Ohio, Cynthia Wardlow of Alcoa, Tennessee, and Joan Roberson of Sacramento, California; a grandmother, Alice Roberson of Sacramento, California; an uncle, Anthony Roberson of Sacramento California. His father, Robert Banks of Raleigh North Carolina also survives. He will be greatly missed by his many cousins, extended family and all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Timothy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
