Dawn B. Johnson, 78, of Clarksville, Ohio, died 9:20 AM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at the Willow Dialysis Center, Wilmington, Ohio. Dawn was born April 5, 1933, in Clarksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Sid and Rhoda Hockett Bagford.
She worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as an accounting clerk until her retirement. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Blanchester, and the Order of the Eastern Star 107 Miami Chapter. She graduated from Clarksville High School.
Dawn is survived by a son, Richard (Karen) Johnson of Blanchester, Ohio; a daughter, Pamela (Jerry) George of Clarksville, Ohio; a brother, Sid (Jean) Bagford of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Cherry (Roger) Reveal of Blanchester, Ohio; three grandchildren, Amanda (Joseph) Boldman, Rhoda (Dave) Edwards, and Kara (Craig) Moore; 11 great grandchildren, Brooke (Brian) Brabson, Bryce Boldman, Dusty Taylor, Morgan Carr, Cierra Carr, David Edwards, Dana Edwards, Biranna Moore, Larissa Moore, Hannah Moore, and Braylin Moore; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Diane, Mandy, Sharon, Laura, Rita, Janet and Alana; as well as many special friends. In addition to her parents, four brothers, Harry Bagford, Tom Bagford, Richard Bagford, and George “Pete” Bagford, and a sister, Joy Kilburn, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Elder Harry Harvell officiating. Burial will be in Clarksville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
