Dear Davis Family,
You probably don’t remember me but I remember “Mr Davis”. He was one of the kindest men I have ever known.
He was a friend of my father, a member of our church and the principle of my elementary school.
I just wanted you to know how often over the many years I have thought so kindly of the man I knew from my childhood.
I am certain my warm regards are shared by many many others.
Sincerely,
Ellen Dixon Cavanaugh
Dearest Helen – My very sincere sympathy to you and your family. I know that Don and my Dad (Paul VanDerVoort) enjoyed many years of friendship as members of the Wilmington Kiwanis Club. I have heard many stories of your “fun get-togethers”, both in Florida and Wilmington, from my Mom (Evelyn). He will missed by everyone!
With love and prayers,
Joycelyn Martin
Helen and family,
I’m so sorry to hear about Don. It seems like yesterday he was greeting me at the front door of Denver School with his big smile. Even though this is a difficult time for all of you, try to remember all the good times you had together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!
Love to all,
Brenda Summers
Thank you for your dedication to our profession and to the youth it serves. Many happy memories of school days at Kingman High School swirl in my thoughts as I review the story of your life and professional contributions. Because of you, Mr. Pennington, Mrs. Cotner, and a few others, I dedicated my 45 year professional life to education classrooms.
