Doris Donohoo, 89, formerly of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Crestwood Nursing Center, Hillsboro, Ohio. Her husband, Harold Donohoo, preceded her in death April 9, 2003. Mrs. Donohoo was born January 8, 1928 in Manchester, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond Clair Shafer and Anna Hughes Shafer. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie McKinley. Mrs. Donohoo was a foster parent for 25 years and touched the lives of over 80 children. She was a member of Villars Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Donohoo is survived by a son, James Sexton; two daughters, Althea Sexton and Mary Haggard; a son-in-law, Tom McKinley; a sister, Becky (Marvin) Gotherman; two granddaughters, Danielle Richards and Deidre (Jayson) Hazelbaker; four great grandchildren, Victoria Richards, Baylie Richards, Khaleesi Hazelbaker, and Tegan Hazelbaker; her nieces, Beth (Donald) Watts, Tracy (Chuck) Wait, and Donna (Brian) Waller; as well as many loving extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
