Elizabeth L. Pohlmeyer, 93 of Wilmington, Ohio died 9:30 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Westminster-Thurber Community, Columbus, Ohio. Her husband, Arthur E. Pohlmeyer Jr., preceded her in death April 4, 2000. They were married February 14, 1942. Mrs. Pohlmeyer was born March 20, 1920 in Clinton County, Ohio daughter of the late George and Myrtle Watts Donohoo. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.
Mrs. Pohlmeyer had previously worked at Shanahan Services. Most importantly, though, she was a wife and mother. She was a member of the First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was very involved with her Cape May family.
Mrs. Pohlmeyer is survived by a son, Ronald A. (Carole) Pohlmeyer of Forest, Ohio; a daughter, Judith Ann Pohlmeyer of Wilmington, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael (Debra) Dennis of Chicago, Illinois, Andrea (Bob) Regan of Wilmington, Ohio, Robert (Alexis) Pohlmeyer of Cameron, North Carolina, Eric Pohlmeyer of Maryland, and Melinda (Josh) Baker of Arlington, Ohio; six great grandchildren, Kelsi Regan, Garrett Regan, Sophia Dennis, Lucy Baker, Jenna Baker, and Adalyn Pohlmeyer. In addition to her husband and parents, three brothers, Ralph Donohoo, Raymond Donohoo, and Harold Donohoo, and a grandson, John Arthur Dunn, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ, 120 Columbus Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Jim Graham officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ.
