GEORGE FOX

George Fox, 58, of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. His wife, Debbie Rodgers Fox, survives. They were married October 14, 2000. Mr. Fox was born March 16, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio, son of Josephine Gabbard Fox of Hillsboro, Ohio and the late Cecil Fox. He was a 1978 graduate of East Clinton High School. He also graduated from Rupert Auctioneering School in Indiana. Mr. Fox worked at United Producer's Stockyard in Hillsboro for over 30 years where he made many lifelong friends. He was a member of the Greenfield Southern Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Fox is survived by his sister, Brenda Cox of Hillsboro, Ohio; a nephew, Jeremy (Patricia) Cox of Hillsboro; a great nephew, Charlie Stuckey; and a brother-in-law, Tim Rodgers of Washington Court House, Ohio. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio with Kirby Newman, officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Riverview Cemetery, Beattyville, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Debbie Fox, 405 Lewis Street, Washington Court House, Ohio 43160 to assist with expenses.
