HARRIETT JOHNSON

Harriett Johnson, 79, of Wilmington, Ohio died 2:45 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Howard Aaron Johnson Sr. preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Johnson was born July 11, 1935, daughter of the late Arthur Dolan and Esther Smith. She was raised by her stepfather, Murt Smith, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Howard Aaron Johnson Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio; four daughters, Peggy (Benny) Reiley of Wilmington, Ohio, Harriett Pence of Milford, Ohio, Mary Dixon of Blanchester, Ohio, and Brenda (James) Caplinger of Blanchester, Ohio; three brothers, Bill (Judy) Smith of Florida, Bob Smith of Tennessee, and Robert Smith of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Reiley, Sarah (Josh) Frisby, Matt Doyle, Josh Johnson, Nick Johnson, Jill Johnson, Angie Embree, Christy Embree, Laura Embree, John Embree, Robby (Keri) Dixon, Amanda Dixon, Jamie Dixon, Bill Caplinger, Alisha (Chris) Payne, Amber (Matt) Rear, Crystal (Andy) Strommen, and Andy (Ashley) Bates; as well as 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, parents, and stepfather, a daughter, Susan, a brother, William, and three sisters, Anna Jane, Hazel, and Annie, are preceded in death. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens.
