Janet Lee Stimson, 84, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born August 3, 1933 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Lew and Elsie Willard Spurgeon. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.
During high school, Janet worked at the Murphy Theatre. After graduation, she worked at Buckley Brothers, then at the local License Bureau before she married and started a family.
Janet is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Williams of Wilmington, Ohio, Natalie Williams of Wilmington, Ohio, and Beverly Williams of Wilmington, Ohio; a son, John (Cynthia) Williams of Weirsdale, Florida; four grandchildren, Levi (fiancée, Liz Easley) Root, Amber (Brad) Courson, Amanda (Jerry) Bradford, and Taylor (Jade) Newell; her great grandchildren, Lucy, Nolan, and Declan Bradford, Madison, Ryker, and Axel Courson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, her first husband, Earl Franklin Williams, preceded her in death September 29, 1975 and her second husband, Thomas Warren Stimson, preceded her in death May 5, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Joan Kell.
