Kevin Lane Stackhouse, 55, of Wilmington, Ohio died Sunday morning, November 4, 2012 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, the same hospital where he was born on October 26, 1957. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage. He practiced as a licensed massage therapist. He was a former firefighter and paramedic for the Wilmington Fire Department. Kevin had an interest in landscaping. He had been involved with the Grow Food, Grow Hope project at Wilmington College. He was a frequent visitor of all the local farm markets. In his passing Kevin has continued to give to others by donating his tissues. One person’s sight was restored and approximately 100 people will benefit from his offering.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Webb (Charles Beason) VanTress of Xenia, Ohio; his father, Frank (Shari) Stackhouse of Bardstown, Kentucky; two daughters, Heather Leigh Goff of Douglas, Georgia and Maria Nichole “Niki” (Cecil) Bell of Ellaville, Georgia; a sister, Kimberly Stackhouse of Fairborn, Ohio; a nephew, Joshua Stackhouse of Wilmington, Ohio; a stepsister, Deborah (David) Craycraft of Leesburg, Ohio; a stepbrother: Donald (Angie) VanTress of Xenia, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ramsey Goff, Ryleigh Goff, Zoe Bell, and Cole Bell all of Georgia; and his special friend and companion, Rachel Murphy.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in New Antioch Cemetery.
