Larry D. Longstreth, 75, of Wilmington, Ohio died 2:08 PM, Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence. His wife, Linda A. Marvin Longstreth, whom he married December 28, 1962, survives. Mr. Longstreth was born December 9, 1937 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Russell Longstreth and Clara E. Swonger Longstreth. He was a 1955 graduate of Wilmington High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Mr. Longstreth retired from Proctor & Gamble. He had also worked at NCR. He was a member of the First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ, the American Legion Post 49, the F&AM Lodge #52, and the Scottish Rite.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Longstreth is survived by a son, Michael (Tamara) Longstreth of Wilmington, Ohio; two daughters, Julie (Scott) Wake of Goshen, Ohio and Jennifer (Clay) Thomas of Georgetown, Ohio; a brother, Richard Alan Longstreth of Loveland, Ohio; two sisters, Helen Jean Wright of Columbus, Ohio and Joan (Phil) Dawley of Wilmington, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Amanda (B.J.) Morton, Nicholas Wake, Kyle Wake, Ryan Wake, Jordan Thomas, Justin Thomas, and Olivia Thomas; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt Moreton and Weston Moreton. In addition to his parents, a brother, James Longstreth, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 PM, Wednesday.
