LINDA PRICE

Linda Price, 68, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her residence. Ms. Price was born May 11, 1946 in Massillon, Ohio, daughter of Jack J. Price of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Annale Weiford Price. She was a 1964 graduate of Wilmington High School. She attended the Middletown School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor's degree from Wilmington College and her Master's degree from Ohio University. Linda retired from Scarlet Oaks as a nursing instructor after a long nursing career at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She had served as the head nurse in the intensive care cardiac unit at CMH. She had also worked at Wilmington Health Care and in Chicago. After retiring, she volunteered at Holmes Elementary School. She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church as well as a member of the New Vienna Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron and longtime secretary. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was an avid Star Trek fan and would take her nephews to Star Trek conventions. She was extremely loving and generous to her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her father, Linda is survived by a brother, Cliff (Janet Clark) Price of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; two sisters, Barbara (Skip) Leeds of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Liz (John) Jordan of Sabina, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Jason (Vivian) Price, Kevin (Valerie) Price, Luke (Sally) Dennis, Margaret (Toby) Dean, Tony Jordan, Joel Jordan, and Chase Jordan; as well as eight great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 19, 2015 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at meal at St. Columbkille Catholic Church following the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 968, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
