LINDA SPARKS

Linda Sparks, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio died 7:33 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Her husband, Gary D. Sparks, preceded her in death December 17, 2004. They were married April 12, 1964. Mrs. Sparks was born January 6, 1938 in Kingman, Clinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry and Anita Jenkins Hopkins. She was a 1955 graduate of Kingman High School. Mrs. Sparks had worked for Beckett Harcum and then retired from Jon Hopkins State Farm Insurance. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to numerous bridge clubs. She had also been active in the Friends of the Library, the Clinton County Homemakers, and was a past 4-H advisor. Mrs. Sparks is survived by two daughters, Debra Lynn (Doug) Pierson of Wilmington, Ohio and Jennifer (Marc) Amazon of Mason, Ohio; two brothers, Jon (Carmen) Hopkins of Maineville, Ohio and Jeff Hopkins of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Sheryl (Fred) Link of Wilmington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kali Pierson, Jensen Pierson, Evan Amazon, and Paige Amazon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Steve Fricke officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
