Marjorie Jean Curtis, 61, of Wilmington, Ohio died 2:40 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2011 at her residence. Her husband, Lenard P. Curtis, whom she married June 15, 1988, survives. Mrs. Curtis was born May 23, 1950 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of Gilbert Robinson of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Joanna Stephens Robinson. She was a 1968 graduate of Washington Court House High School and attended The Ohio State University School of Cosmetology. She enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales.
In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Curtis is survived by a son, Gilbert Simon (Telisha) Blakey of Wilmington, Ohio; two brothers, Jackie (Kathy) Robinson of Wilmington, Ohio and Frankie Robinson of Richmond, Virginia; four sisters, Deborah Flemming of Columbus, Ohio, Bobbie (Donald) Howard of Wilmington, Ohio, Virginia (Mark) Galloway of Dayton, Ohio, and Norma Tyler of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Gilbert Simon Blakey II, Audrey Lynn Blakey, and Emily Jean-Anne Blakey; and a step-grandson, Isaac Gage McWhorter. In addition to her mother, a son, Anthony James Dixon, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 225 Randolph Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Byron McGee officiating. Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
