Pamela Sue Miars Black, 50, of Wilmington, Ohio died 10:35 PM, Friday, April 19, 2013 at Kettering Medical Center. Her husband, Randy J. Black, survives. They were married August 21, 1981. Mrs. Black was born October 22, 1962 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of Patricia Botts Miars of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Russel Miars Sr. She was a 1980 graduate of Clinton Massie High School.
Pamela was dedicated to helping raise funds for Little Hearts Big Smiles. She enjoyed reading, Facebook, and going to yard sales. She also liked going to quarter auctions, whether to benefit Little Hearts Big Smiles or other charities. She was a breast cancer survivor. Pamela loved snowmen and enjoyed collecting them and wearing anything with snowmen on it.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, David Black of Wilmington, Ohio; a daughter, Heather Black of Wilmington, Ohio; her grandmother, Mary Botts of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Russel & Michelle Miars of Blanchester, Ohio; a sister, DeeAnn Ball of Wilmington, Ohio; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward & Betty Black of Clarksville, Ohio; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rod & Melissa Black; her mother’s fiancé, Larry Quigley; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to her father, a brother-in-law, Ronald Ball, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Keith Dimbath officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
