Rev. Noah Robert “Bob” Dunn, 87, passed away 10:33 PM, Friday, May 20, 2011, at his home in Wilmington, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Dunn. They were married May 25, 2002. Mr. Dunn was born June 4, 1923 in Piketon, Ohio, a son of the late Chester W. and Dora Puckett Dunn. He was proud to have served his country in World War II.
Mr. Dunn settled in Wilmington and worked for the Irwin Auger Bit Co., and then became a tool and die maker for the Randall Co., until his retirement in April 1977.
He also served our Lord in the ministry, traveling around to many churches over the years. He served at the Sabina House of Prayer for many years and later at the Xenia Baptist Temple.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Dunn is survived by two daughters, Carol Dunn of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Marilyn (Mike) Stanley of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother, William R. (Margaret) Dunn of Sabina, Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Boyd of Springfield, Ohio and Mildred Tyndall of Springfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kristy Sweeney (Michael) Harmon of Columbus, Ohio, David (Lesa) Bradley of Columbus, Ohio, and Douglas (Becky) Bradley of Columbus, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Dustin Sweeney, Alex Jones, Bryce Bradley, Collin Bradley and Payton Bradley; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his first wife, of 58 years, Dorothy Nell Dunn; a daughter, Janes Eileen Dunn, and a step-son, David Tolle.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Selby Williams officiating. Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
