ROXANNE NEWMAN Obituary

Roxanne Newman, 57, of Columbus, Ohio died 2:46 AM, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her residence. Her husband, James Michael Shepard, preceded her in death. She was born July 21, 1959 in Xenia, Ohio, daughter of the late Berlyn F. and Donna L. Morris Newman. Throughout her life, Mrs. Newman had worked for Briskin Company in Tennessee, as well as Cracker Barrel, and Holiday Inn. Music was a large part of her life and she had been involved in many bands including one with her husband, V-3. She is survived by two sons, Gabriel (Melissa) Shepard of Columbus, Ohio and Cale Shepard of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Larry (Nancy) Newman of Hillsboro, Ohio and Gary Newman of Alaska; a sister, Jean Barker of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and her life partner, Rudy Smith. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Donald Newman is preceded in death. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
