RUSSELL ALCORN Obituary

Russell Alcorn, 72, of Martinsville, Ohio died 3:35 PM, Monday, September 24, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati. His wife, Deborah Moore Alcorn, whom he married August 22, 1977, survives. Mr. Alcorn was born April 8, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Alec and Ada Smith Alcorn. He was a graduate of Norwood High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Alcorn was a lifelong truck driver. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington, Ohio. He was also a member of the Sharonville Masonic Lodge and the Cincinnati Shrine. In addition to his wife, Mr. Alcorn is survived by three sons, Rusty (Renee) Riley of Kentucky, Glenn Todd (Megan) Lanham of Nebraska, and Jim Alcorn of Hawaii; a daughter, Patience Comberger of Martinsville, Ohio; two brothers, Jim (Betty) Alcorn of Mason, Ohio, and Norbert Alcorn of Fayetteville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Kelly D. McInerney officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 to assist with funeral expenses.
