Thomas J. Haines, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at his residence. His wife, Doris McClary Haines, survives. Mr. Haines was born March 14, 1935 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Elvin and Ruth Klontz Haines. He was a 1953 graduate of Kingman High School.
Thomas enjoyed playing corn hole, riding his golf cart, fishing, driving a semi truck, and going out to eat with family and friends. He was also an active member of the Blanchester Senior Center.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mike (Tammy) Haines of Blanchester, Ohio and Jeff (Jodi) Haines of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two sisters, Elizabeth (Harold) Curry and Mary Jane Fulton; three granddaughters, Misty (Kevin) Griffith, Brooke (Dan) King, and Kayla (Tony) Whitt; and two great grandsons, Dontae Johnson and Owen King. In addition to his parents, his mother-in-law, Gladys “Granny” Marie Eades, and a brother-in-law, Pete Fulton, are preceded in death.
Mr. Haines will be cremated. No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Blanchester Senior Center, 707 N. Broadway Street, Blanchester, Ohio 45107.
