Trude Marie Volpe, 87, of Wilmington, Ohio died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at her residence. Her husband, Anthony S. Volpe, preceded her in death July 10, 2003. They were married November 25, 1954. Mrs. Volpe was born January 12, 1925 in Berlin, Germany. She came to the United States in 1955 and later became a U.S. citizen.
Mrs. Volpe retired from Irwin Auger Bit. She had also worked for G.C. Murphy in Wilmington. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6710 Lady’s Auxiliary and a member of the D.A.V. Commander’s Club. She attended Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington.
Mrs. Volpe is survived by three grandchildren, Lori Allmon of Columbus, Ohio, Sean (Mandy) Denehy of Clarksville, Ohio, and Katie (Gary) Anderson of Wilmington, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Keelie Allmon, Liam Denehy, Finn Denehy, Brayden Anderson, and Garrett Anderson. In addition to her husband, a son, Clauden Volpe, and a sister, Maria Patton, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Brent Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
