Zella L. Garrette Turner, 72, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away 4:30 PM, Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born April 24, 1946 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Frederick and Lucille Lewis Garrette.
Zella, a retired American Tool employee, attended Wilmington City Schools, was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was an avid collector of Angels.
Survivors include daughters, Sherry (Robert) Pritchet, Las Cruces New Mexico, Sharon Davis of Xenia, Ohio, and Kim (Rodney) Sanford of Xenia, Ohio; sons, Stewart L. (Kelley) Garrette of Cleveland, Ohio and William F. (Cheryl) Turner of Centennial, Colorado; a brother, Freddie (Virginia) Garrette of Springfield, Ohio; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, William H. Turner, and sisters and brothers-in-law, Freda and Richard Allen, Shelby and Everett Burns, Ruth Ann and James Luckett, and Rose Maxine Garrette.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A Celebration of Life for Zella will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
