Charles Ralph Fisher, 90, of New Vienna, Ohio went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 15, 2011 at his residence with his wife, Betty Fisher, and beloved dog, Jeff, by his side. Mr. Fisher was born December 8, 1920 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He was a graduate of Centerville High School. Mr. Fisher was a lifelong farmer and truck driver. He had served as a member of the Warren County Sheriff’s Department Auxiliary Posse.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fisher is survived by his sons, Joel Whittaker, Richard Fisher, Charles (Jill) Whittaker, Larry Fisher, Tim (Vicky) Fisher, and Jerry Fisher; his daughters, Anita (Dale) Powell, Rosa Anderson, Ethel (Gary) Watson, and Christy (Dan) Murphy; several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Dave Fisher; a son-in-law, John Anderson; his parents; and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Robert G. Baker officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Abbottsville Cemetery, Arcanum, Ohio.
