Clara B. Taylor, 80, of Wilmington, Ohio died 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at her residence. Her husband, John M. Taylor, preceded her in death April 15, 2010. They were married November 28, 1952. Prior to moving to Wilmington, Mrs. Taylor was a longtime resident of Cedarville, Ohio. She was born August 17, 1931 in Mount Sterling, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Wilda Dennison Puckett.
Mrs. Taylor owned and operated the Village Restaurant in Cedarville for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and fishing. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and attended the Cedarville Church of the Nazarene. Most importantly, though, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, John “Bud” (Brenda) Taylor of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Charlene (Sidney) Murphy of Wilmington, Ohio and Marlene (Michael) Meyer of Defiance, Ohio; six grandchildren, Molly (Matthew) Mueller, Michael Murphy, Heather (Mike) Blue, Ashley (Adrian) Chavez, Nathan (Ashley Jenkin) Taylor, and Natalie Taylor; nine great grandchildren, Haden, Jensen, Callie, Evan, Mary, Anna, Albie, Rachel, and Reagan; as well as sisters and a brother. In addition to her husband and parents, her sister and best friend, Ruth Weyrick, and a great grandson, Abram Miller, are preceded in death.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at North Cemetery, Cedarville, Ohio. Friends may call from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
