GLENN MOBLEY Obituary

Glenn Mobley, 85, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away 6:08 AM, Friday, December 2, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. His wife, Mamie Ellis Mobley, survives. They were married December 24, 1944, and would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary Christmas Eve. Mr. Mobley was born March 15, 1926 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Pearl and Carrie Dailey Mobley. He was a lifelong farmer and did livestock hauling for other farmers for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church - Disciples of Christ. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mobley is survived by a son, Robert Glenn (Marilyn) Mobley of New Vienna, Ohio; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Burke of Wirtz, Virginia and Carolyn (Paul) Schneider of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Louise Wilkin of Wilmington, Ohio and Kathryn Clark of Port Orange, Florida; five grandchildren, Christina Burke Watty of Christiansburg, Virginia, Mark Burke of Lake Forest, California, Melanie Mobley (Keith) Hill of Wilmington, Ohio, Lynette Mobley (Don) Romano of Dayton, Ohio, and Ryan Glenn (Christina) Mobley of Martinsville, Ohio; seven great grandchildren, Dustin Cochran, Corey Cochran, Devon Watty, Alex Watty, Nicholas Romano, Dylan Glenn Mobley, and Ethan Mobley; two great-great grandchildren, Micah Cochran and Noah Cochran; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a sister, Frances Chandler, is preceded in death. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O.
