Harry Lee Nichols, 101, a 95 year resident of Blanchester, went to be with the Lord November 4, 2013 in Yukon, Oklahoma. His wife of 69 years, Alta Margaret Strider Nichols, preceded him in death. They were married August 15, 1932. He was born June 7, 1912 in Adams County, Ohio, son of the late Samuel and Eva Nichols. He loved farming and fishing and was a carpenter and master clock-smith.
He is survived by three daughters, Harriet Lee Unger, Joy Wilson, and Phyrne Kendall; 12 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and many friends. In addition to his wife, and parents, three sons-in-law, John Unger, Lloyd Wilson, and Robert Dale Kendall, a brother and sister-in-law, John & Juliene, a sister, Dora, two grandchildren, Lloyd Wilson, Jr. and Jeff Wilson, a great grandson, James Rezac, a niece, Anita, and a nephew, John, are preceded in death.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
