Jean B. Riley, 89, of Wilmington, Ohio died 7:25 AM, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence. Her husband, Judge Paul E. Riley, preceded her in death September 18, 1992. They were married May 22, 1948. Mrs. Riley was born March 20, 1923 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Olive Riggin Brown. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.
Early in her career, Mrs. Riley worked for GTE. Later she worked for the Clinton County Juvenile Court and the Clinton County Common Pleas Court Bureau of Support. She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and the Clinton County Republican Women’s Club.
Mrs. Riley is survived by a son, Michael T. Riley of Hamilton, Ohio; two daughters, Katherine (Darrel) Dupuis of Wilmington, Ohio and Julie (Mohammed) Kader of Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, Bob (Mary) Brown of Wilmington, Ohio and Ed Brown of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Eric (Jen) Dupuis, Jessica (Darren) Hull, Lauren Dupuis, Mariem Kader, and Marcus Kader; three great grandchildren, Riley, Ella, and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, a sister, Elaine Fortune, is preceded in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. There will not be any visitation.
