JOAN McKEE Obituary

Joan McKee, 81, of Wilmington, Ohio died 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her residence after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband, George McKee, preceded her in death. They were married for 56 years. Mrs. McKee was born February 10, 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late Henry and Emily Shue Delo. Mrs. McKee worked as a supervisor in the food service department for a public school system in New Jersey. She was extremely active in the Wilmington Senior Center. Mrs. McKee is survived by two sons, George (Ann) McKee of Wilmington, Ohio and Ronald McKee of New Jersey; two daughters, Kathy (Terry) Lee of Wilmington, Ohio and Karen (Alan) Fortier of Maine; twelve grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Wilmington Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Foster J. Boyd Regional Cancer Center, 31 Farquhar Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
