JUANITA SHANHOLTZ

Juanita Shanholtz, 91, of Wilmington, Ohio died 1:20 AM, Monday, May 21, 2012 at Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence. Her husband, Robert J. Shanholtz, preceded her in death August 4, 2003. They were married August 5, 1943. Mrs. Shanholtz was born November 30, 1920 in Clarksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank Anolia Price and Lydia Alice Jessup Price. She was a 1938 graduate of Clarksville High School. She was employed at Clinton Memorial Hospital for 30 ½ years. She was also a cook at Kingman School for 11 years. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and the Sharon Mother's Club. Mrs. Shanholtz is survived by a son, Larry Monroe (Virginia) Shanholtz of Wilmington, Ohio; three daughters, Sandy (Carroll) Doughman of Wilmington, Ohio, Roberta (Tom) Ketchin of Charleston, South Carolina, and Kay (Jonathan) Walt of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Joy Ernstes of Indiana; ten grandchildren, Kelly (Ed) Benedict, Kim (Darrell) Twine, Caroline (Billy) Farrior, Stewart (Nikki) Ketchin, Chris (Galo) Bustamante, Cara (Lee) Kiser, Jenna (Clay) Sheeley, Janell Mercer, Jessica (Luke) Green, and Sean Walt; and 19 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Francis Price, and a sister, Virginia Warfield, are preceded in death. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 25, 2012 at Springfield Friends Cemetery, Todd's Fork Road, Wilmington, Ohio with Steve Wetterhan officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wilmington Church of Christ Scholarship Fund, 909 W. Locust Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 or to the Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence Activities Fund, 75 Hale Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
