Lora Jean Bagford, 76, of Wilmington, Ohio went to be with the Lord 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Her husband, Sid Bagford, survives. They were married September 14, 1956. Mrs. Bagford was born November 5, 1936 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Omer and Opal Cooper Mussetter. She was a 1954 graduate of Clarksville High School.
Mrs. Bagford retired from Clinton Massie Schools where she had worked as a teacher’s aide and in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bagford is survived by two daughters, Becky (Jeff) Conard of Wilmington, Ohio and Mindy (Steve) Hathaway of Clarksville, Ohio; three sisters, Judith (Gary) Howard of Tucson, Arizona, Joyce (Don) Berry of Wilmington, Ohio, and Kay (Jim) Reveal of Wilmington, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Amber (Shane) Carter, Joshua (Megan) Conard, Matthew (Cassandra) Conard, Tyler Conard, Sydney Hathaway, Ethan Hathaway, and Evan Hathaway; eight great grandchildren, Caeleb Carter, Samantha Conard, Mikhayla Carter, Tristen Conard, McKenzie Carter, Jacob Conard, Whitley Neeley, and Joah Conard; a sister-in-law, Cherry (Roger) Reveal; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a son, Douglas C. Bagford, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Clarksville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington.
