Ralph W. Elliott, 90, of Wilmington, Ohio died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood, Kentucky. His wife, Eleanor Elliott, preceded him in death January 15, 2001. They were married March 15, 1944. Mr. Elliott was born September 27, 1921 in New Vienna, Ohio, son of the late Harry and Blanche Elizabeth Rhonemus Elliott. He was a graduate of New Vienna School and attended Wilmington College. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II.
Mr. Elliott was a maintenance millwright for Frigidaire and later for Delco, from which he retired. He loved to square dance and was a member of the Clinton County Squares.
Mr. Elliott is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen (Michael) Reed of Walton, Kentucky and Christy (Gerald) Klug of Moon Township, Pennsylvania; a son and three daughters-in-law, Steven (Yvonne) Elliott of Manns Choice, Pennsylvania, Jane Elliott of Somerville, Ohio, and Ellen Elliott of Eighty-Four, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Angela (Tim) Henson, Steven Shane Elliott, Sonya (Ethan) Roberts, Elissa (Jason) Heighton, Eric Reed, Eric (Ali) Deck, Jason Klug, Jesse Klug, and Amanda (Ben) Burleson; and ten great grandchildren, Noah Henson, Emily Henson, Bryan Henson, Eli Henson, Kaiden Deck, Kaeson Deck, Adrik Deck, Ariauna Elliott, Ronan Roberts, and Samantha Burleson. In addition to his wife and parents, a son, John Elliott, and a brother, Dana Elliott, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
