Mr. Dinuzzo served in the United States Marine Corp in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Following the war, Mr. Dinuzzo enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp. When the U.S. Air Force was formed, Mr. Dinuzzo transferred from the Army to the Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1965. After retiring from the military, Mr. Dinuzzo went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Merced, California. He eventually became the postmaster for Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Mr. Dinuzzo is survived by a son, Robert Y. Dinuzzo of Merced, California; a daughter, Linda A. (Mike) Thomas of Wilmington, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Rachel Thomas, and Isabelle Thomas. In addition to his parents, a son, Steven Dinuzzo, and his former wife, Yoshia Dinuzzo, are preceded in death.
Mr. Dinuzzo will be cremated; no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, 825 College Blvd., Suite 102, PMB 609, Oceanside, California 92057 or to the Wilmington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 968, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
