Robyn S. Walker, 59, of Wilmington, Ohio went to be with the Lord, 2:38 AM, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, Kentucky. Her husband, John W. Walker, whom she married March 26, 1977, survives. Mrs. Walker was born October 19, 1951 in Xenia, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lou Bond Jones. She was a graduate of Xenia High School.
Mrs. Walker was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. She was a member of New Burlington Friends Meeting. She was active in the New Burlington Homemakers, the United Society of Friends Women, the New Burlington Women’s Bible Study, and the P.A.N.S.I.E.S. Her passion was baking, and she was known for the cookies that she would make. She was a very caring and thoughtful person, who would always send cards to people on their special occasions.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walker is survived by two daughters, Whitney (Fiancé, Shawn Foxbower) Walker of Sabina, Ohio and Amanda Walker of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; two brothers, C. Rex (Cherle) Jones of Waynesville, Ohio and R. B. (Debra) Jones of Waynesville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Rosemary (Benjamin) Lykins of Wilmington, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Aaron Jones, Tamara Jones, Carri Creed, Chris Eakins, Ryan Jones, Amber Weaver, and Travis Lykins; an “adopted” granddaughter, Hannah Nicole Foxbower; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Steve Collett officiating. Burial will be in New Burlington Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2010 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
