Vera Medley, 82, of Wilmington, Ohio died 3:25 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her residence. Her husband of 27 years, Virgil A. Medley, survives. Mrs. Medley was born August 4, 1928 in Hillsboro, Ohio, daughter of the late Earl and Laura Annabell Williams. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. She had been an art teacher and a telephone operator, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Medley is survived by a son, Anthony Howard of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Helen Tanner of Cleveland, Ohio, five grandchildren, Johnny Tanner Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Carmen Walker of Cleveland, Ohio, Crystal Duncan of Cleveland, Ohio, Anthony Howard Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Curtis Howard of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four brothers-in-law, Arthur (Ethel) Medley of Wilmington, Ohio, Jimmy Medley of Cincinnati, Ohio, George (Linda) Medley of Wilmington, Ohio, and Cecil (Neomi) Medley of Brooklyn, New York; and three sisters-in-law, Mary Cordell of Wilmington, Ohio, Lida (Donny) Davis of Columbus, Ohio, and Jenny McMillan of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her parents, two sons, Edward Howard and Dennis Howard, a brother-in-law, Willard Medley, and two sisters-in-law, Linda Jones and Kathleen Medley, are preceded in death. Services will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1769 State Route 73 W., Wilmington, Ohio.
