Carolyn Sue Alexander, 76, of Wilmington passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born April 26, 1942 in Cuba, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl Alexander and Lois Payton Alexander. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School.
Carolyn retired from Dr. Hilberg’s office in Wilmington where she worked as a dental hygienist and receptionist. She then worked at and retired from the Clinton County Clerk of Courts Office. She was a member of the Clinton County Women, the Clinton County Republican Women, the Clinton County Central Committee, the Progress Club, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Health Alliance of Clinton County. She was heavily involved with Ohio Living Cape May activities. She was active with the Wilmington Senior Citizens and the Blanchester Senior Citizens. She was affiliated with the Cuba Friends Meeting, Dover Friends Meeting, and the Wilmington Church of God. She was a motherly influence to numerous children throughout the years.
She is survived by her God-Children, Brian (Renae) Corzatt, Kelly (James Jr.) Mann, Elizabeth (Jim) Tissot, and Travis (Karla) Corzatt; as well as numerous friends and cousins. In addition to her parents, a sister, Bonnie Alexander, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 and from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
