Johan Thompson Patrick, 84, of Wilmington, Ohio died 5:38 AM, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Autumn Years Nursing Center. Her husband, William Ernest Patrick, survives. They were married January 28, 1972. Mrs. Patrick was born November 19, 1929 in New Vienna, Ohio, daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Gertrude Swisshelm Thompson.
Mrs. Patrick had worked at Wells Manufacturing in New Vienna. She was a charter member of the American Legion Post 49 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Patrick is survived by four children, Kathy S. (Michael) Kara of Newton, North Carolina, Donald E. Smith of Wilmington, Ohio, Brian K. (Brenda) Smith of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Corby L. (Christopher) Carnell of Clarksville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Erik, Nicole, Nathan, Nicholas, Stephanie, Sean, Lacy, and Jessica; five step-grandchildren, Todd, April, Ty, Jay, and Natalie; five great grandchildren, Hayley, Makenley, Vanessa, Preslie, and Gibson.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Larry Speelman officiating.
