Patricia Ann “Mom” Clouser, 74, of Tampa, Florida, (formerly of Wilmington), went home to be reunited with her family and the Lord on October 14, 2013. Her husband, George F. Clouser, survives. They were married December 10, 1958. Mrs. Clouser was born August 20, 1939 in Manchester, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Letha Johnson Tumbleson. Patricia was the oldest of 4 siblings.
Patricia and George Clouser owned and operated Clouser’s Roofing Co. for 35 years. She was also the owner of the P&G Restaurant for eight years and the Wagon Wheel Café for five years. After retiring to Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Clouser and her family owned and operated Rainforest Aviary, where they specialized in Amazon Parrots. She and her son Mark also owned and operated Florida Ave. Bingo, one of the largest bingo halls in Tampa, Florida, where she worked each day until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. She was an avid antique collector. She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1040 and a member of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Her son Mark became her primary caretaker throughout her illness. Her beloved family pet, Sadybug, was always close by as well. She passed with the dignity and respect that she so well deserved. Mark was honored to take care of her in her time of need.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Clouser is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Gary McCracken of Tampa, Florida; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George F. “Bud” and Carla Clouser Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio, and Mark Allen Clouser of Tampa, Florida; a brother Norman “Tommy” Tumbleson of Wilmington, Ohio; a step grandson, James L McCracken of Wilmington, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Mae Clouser on June 5, 1959; a sister, Rosemary Tumbleson Spurlock, and a brother, Richard Tumbleson.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
