Johnnie P. Deatherage, 76, of Wilmington, Ohio died 9:50 PM, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife of 50 years, Treva Deatherage, preceded him in death January 5, 2011. Mr. Deatherage was born May 19, 1937 in Woodstock, Kentucky, the third child of the late Jasper Wesley Deatherage and Lela Marie Denney Deatherage. He was a 1955 graduate of Clarksville High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Deatherage retired from General Motors in Moraine. He was a member of the Clarksville Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a son, John (Lynn) Deatherage of Clarksville, Ohio; a daughter, Tricia (Stephen) Pauley of Maineville, Ohio; two sisters, Debra Thompson of Martinsville, Ohio and Brenda Lee of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Erin Deatherage, Jill Deatherage, Kelly Deatherage, Harrison Pauley, and Eliza “Lulu” Pauley; a brother-in-law, Robert “Butch” Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Anderson. In addition to his wife and parents, a brother, Howard Deatherage, and a sister, Joanne Combs, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery, Warren County, Ohio. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
